The third planet orbiting the Kaduna star, spectral class F. It has toxic atmosphere and 1.5G gravity.
The area around which the Heechee built a Shield Generator has grown a dangerous jungle full of lethal anemones, giant spiders, huge rats, a gigantic octopus in a swamp and pterosaurs of equal size roaming the sky, feeding on gnawing worms. There are also giant snakes and pufferslugs.
In 2112 a group of fanatics allegedly belonging to the Phoenix Sect stole a Heechee ship from Gateway, loaded a fusion weapon on board and came to the planet attempting to destroy the generator. The resulting explosion dug a crater nearly a km deep but no damage was done to the generator. The fanatics surrendered to authorities.
