Starhome is a planet which is considered to be the closest thing to an Earth-type planet in known space. The average surface temperature is under -30 C.
It was discovered between 2055 and 2057 when the UNISEC sent robotic probes to explore along the Tal-Seto "threads". Its star was one of the 15 connected to our Solar system, and one of the 7 that housed previously unknown planetary systems. Starhome was deemed one of the two possible to support human life after terraforming after Erebus, and it is terraformeed in order to acquire a breathable atmosphere, estimated in 100 years, to become the first human colony.
It joined the Alliance of Free States during the conflict of 2085 and formally seceded the United Nations with the Amsterdam Compact.
It is orbited by the McHenry yards.
